Lousy Hobby

To the editor:

This is in response to the March 31 article, “A Lousy Deal.” The hobby trapper is upset that eight wolves he killed couldn’t accommodate him by not having lice.

These wolves weren’t killed so he could feed his family or for his survival. They were killed for his hobby. They were killed so he could fuel his airplane. He killed those wolves for nothing.

Wolf should be a part of his diet for the next year. He should be walking around town in lice-infested wolf garments. Instead he’s going take them to the end of South Cushman and burn them.

And what about all the money wasted dropping medicated, poisoned meat by biologists to kill the wolves’ lice so they can have nice fur for the trappers? Might as well just give the money to the trappers, and let the wolves be free. More money I’m sure is spent dropping the meat than is made selling the furs.
