ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Residents in Port Heiden are turning to the state for help with aggressive wolves coming into town.

Port Heiden residents say they spot wolves in and around town almost daily.

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game says it, too, is concerned about wolves in the Alaska Peninsula community. On Monday, a biologist flew to Port Heiden to speak with residents who say they're scared to leave their homes without a gun.

The town’s residents report wolves have killed at least two cats and four dogs. The most recent was this weekend.
