Defenders of Wildlife to Testify to Alaska Board of Game

Anchorage, Alaska - Alaska representative for Defenders of Wildlife, Wade Willis, will testify before the Alaska Board of Game during its upcoming Southcentral and Southwest Regional meeting.

WHO:  Wade Willis, Alaska Representative, Defenders of Wildlife

WHAT:  Alaska Board of Game meeting - testimony on pending proposals

WHEN:  Public testimony begins Friday, February 27, at 8.30am. Please look out for further information on the timing and content of Mr. Willis' testimony. The Board meeting and deliberations are expected to continue through March 9th.

WHERE:  Dena'ina Civic & Convention Center, 600 West 7th Avenue, Anchorage AK

The board will consider nearly 250 proposals regarding hunting, trapping, predator control and other wildlife management issues. Proposals have been put forth to the Board of Game by private citizens, hunting organizations, regional advisory committees to the Board of Game, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) and conservation groups.
