Help the McNeil Bear Sanctuary off linmits to hunting

Aerial Wolf Slaughter Appalling

Letters / Anchorage Daily News / February 12, 2009

Can't you Alaskans do something to stop the brutal and cowardly aerial wolf slaughter by your governor?

I have just seen footage of people using airplanes to chase down and slaughter wolves at close range. I found it appalling, horrifying, barbaric and, most of all, a very cowardly way to hunt. I am doing everything in my power to help the normal human beings with a sense of basic decency who are working to expose to the rest of America the base brutality of your aerial wolf massacre program. It is a stain and an embarrassment to the state of Alaska, which should be known for its valuing of wildlife rather than the cold-blooded slaughter of an icon of American wildlife.
