Wolf Song of Alaska News

Gloom-and-Doom

Letters / Fairbanks Daily News-Miner / December 14, 2007

To the editor:

Shame on the News-Miner for your choice of graphics and news selections! In the course of two publications last week, you printed a large picture of an accused machete murder, a dead sheep, and a dead wolf. The front page placement and description of the remaining parts of a dead dog - fallen to the wolves - was over the top.

While the accused murderer got a big picture, another article about a local carver was absent any graphics. Why give glory to the murderer and keep the artist's work a secret? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Stop giving kudos and fame to those who don't deserve it! Stop promoting the bad to our children. Reconsider the good you can do through your daily publication! Fairbanks needs more good and less gloom.
