ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- A wolf pack in the Fairbanks area is being blamed for the death of another dog, this time in Two Rivers.
The dog's owner found remains of the 11-year-old Labrador mix outside his home Tuesday on Chena Hot Springs Road.
State wildlife officials suspect it's the same pack of wolves that has been roaming the area for more than a month and has eaten at least two other dogs.
The Department of Fish and Game says there is not much to be done about the situation because the wolves disperse quickly after each report.
The agency is advising residents to keep their pets indoors. |
