Aerial Wolf Hunting is Slaughter

Letters / Anchorage Daily News / September 3, 2007

The August 26 article about aerial wolf killings left me in tears ("$400,000 says aerial wolf kills OK"). It is tragic and repulsive that people in this state are so disgustingly and callously selfish, justifying a senseless massacre to satisfy their own need to kill, kill, kill. I don't protest ethical and responsible hunting, but don't even bother pretending that shooting wolves from a plane can be called true sportsmanship. It's slaughter, plain and simple.
