Governor Palin Appoints Commissioner of Fish and Game

Anchorage, Alaska - Gov. Sarah Palin appointed Denby Lloyd to be the commissioner of the Department of Fish and Game today. Lloyd had been serving as acting commissioner since last December. His nomination was unanimously approved by the Board of Fisheries and the Board of Game this week.

Lloyd is a graduate of the University of Alaska Fairbanks and has worked with resource management since 1974. He'll be sworn in with several other department commissioners next week.
