Congrats, Palin;  Don't Forget to Listen

Her stance on many important issues -- abortion, subsistence, predator control, teaching creation science in public schools -- has the potential to polarize Alaskans

Letters / Anchorage Daily News / November 16, 2006

I commend Sarah Palin for advocating transparency and integrity from our elected officials. And I congratulate her on becoming Alaska's first female governor. Her stance on many important issues -- abortion, subsistence, predator control, teaching creation science in public schools -- has the potential to polarize Alaskans. Speaking transparently won't be worth much unless she is also able to listen to varying opinions and build consensus. All the best, Gov. Palin.
