Bible Says God Gave Man Dominion Over Life on Earth, Including Bears

Letters / Anchorage Daily News / August 23, 2006

I am full Alaska Native, but I am not an animal worshipper. In answer to all who are concerned about the poor bears that get shot and killed when they wander into town in search of food, bears don't belong in human-inhabited areas. They are a danger to man and especially children. I don't feel sorry when they get killed because they don't have animal predators. They keep increasing and multiplying. After all, the Bible says God made man dominion over all living things of Earth.

Therefore, if humans don't control their growth, who will? I'm not about to bow out of my home and let the animals take over.
