Aerial Wolf Hunt Program Should be Shot Down

Letters / Peninsula Clarion / July 10, 2006

As an Alaskan who has recently returned after many years in the lower 48, I am appalled at the current administration's arrogance and complete lack of regard for the will of the majority of Alaskans. In spite of the fact that Alaskans twice voted to ban aerial hunting of wolves, the governor and his Alaska Outdoor Council controlled Board of Game continue their anti-science predator management programs. They are the predators who need to be eliminated.

I have just become eligible to vote in Alaska and will file my application Friday morning so that I can help end the idiocy perpetrated by Gov. Murkowski. I urge all Alaskans who are not registered to vote to do so. I urge all Alaskans to come together in August and November to return sanity and intelligent leadership to Juneau regardless of party affiliation.
