Hybrid Bear Should Have Been Shot with Camera Instead

Letters / Juneau Empire / May 14, 2006

I read "Hibernating Hybrid" (front page, May 12) and have a question: Wouldn't it have been better for the bear if they shot it with a camera? This may be a hot-button topic for some, but to me it is simple: A picture/video of that magnificent animal would have been trophy enough to share with folks. Congratulations, to these brave hunters who killed such a rare and splendid bear.
