Anti-Alaska drumbeat Goes On and On

Tom Brennan / Voice of the Times / Anchorage Daily News / April 27, 2006

Excerpt:  Stevens and many other Alaskans are trying to help Cantwell's opponent, Mike McGavick, in hopes of replacing her with somebody less hostile to Alaska's interests. Cantwell is green and liberal; and she believes in the fairy tale that the coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is an Arctic Serengeti where musk oxen, caribou, wolves and other enchanted creatures frolic on the tundra.
