Bad Taste

Letters / Fairbanks Daily News-Miner / March 26, 2006

To the Editor:

I grabbed my Sunday paper this morning to enjoy with my breakfast, and on the front page was a huge photo of lice on a wolf pelt. Yuck! It was disgusting. Truly a new low for the News-Miner.

I've been a subscriber for over a quarter century, but this makes me want to cancel. This is the best photo you could come up with for the front and center color shot of the Sunday paper? I understand how important wildlife management is, but come on. I could hear the chorus of nauseated groans all over the reading area.

I'll forgo the jokes about what a lousy choice this was, or how I thought at first I was staring at the Bush Cabinet. Please, something more informative or pleasant or newsworthy on the Sunday paper's front page from now on. This was truly tasteless.
