Alaska Board of Game Should Be Dismissed and Fined for Breaking its Own Rules

Letters / Anchorage Daily News / February 10, 2006

I would like to know if the Board of Game will be taken to court for breaking the rules and regulations that it first created. The members should be removed from the board and given a heavy fine. If a judge wanted a bottle of whiskey and was unable to pay, he doesn't have the right to say, "I made the rules, so I can break them." It would still be illegal. What they have done to the bear and wolf regulations will end up creating in Alaska a bounty-hunter state for all wildlife.

Mike Fleagle, chairman of the board, has made hunters the lowest of the lows. How many hunters would rather go look and hunt for wildlife or sit on their lazy butts waiting for wildlife to commit suicide?
