Aerial Wolf Control Program Reinstated in Alaska

KTUU / NBC / The Associated Press  / January 26, 2006

Anchorage, Alaska - The Alaska lieutenant governor's office today says the state's aerial wolf killing program has been reinstated.

A judge last week declared the predator control program was illegal. Superior Court Judge Sharon Gleason had said the state Board of Game failed to justify the program in its regulations.

The board met in an emergency meeting yesterday to rewrite those regulations. The new rules were presented this afternoon and became effective immediately.
