Biologist Sinnott Back on Duty in Alaska
Sean Doogan / KTUU / December 26, 2005

Anchorage, Alaska - State big game manager Rick Sinnott knows a lot about problem bears and trash.

Sinnott is frequently the man called when a problem bear shows up in Anchorage. And as of last week, he's back on bear duty. Sinnott was removed from dealing with bears this summer, after making pointed comments about people who had left rotting salmon carcasses in a Hillside neighborhood.

Sinnott also has been a key player in efforts to get Anchorage residents to remove all bear attractants, including curbside garbage, from their property.
