It's hard to believe Juneauites are still debating the fate of the glacier wolf. Losing a dog is always painful, but killing or relocating the wolf is not the answer.
The owner of the deceased dog was in violation of Juneau city ordinances 08.40.010 (Failure to Restrain Dog), 08.45.010(a)(5) (Harassing Wildlife), and arguably federal and state laws that prohibit the feeding of wildlife.
The wolf didn't do anything illegal. Let's leave it alone.
