Moose, Bears Belong in Wilderness, Not Yards, So Let's Get Rid of Them All

Letters / Anchorage Daily News / May 12, 2005

"City hopes to curb urban bear encounters by enforcing trash law" (Daily News, May 4). Give me a break! Just who runs this city? Is it the citizens of Anchorage? Or is it a biologist who gets to manage his own private zoo within the city limits of Anchorage?

I personally am sick and tired of hearing what Rick Sinnott wants or thinks. How dare he tell me "they need to start practicing now."

I love moose and bears. I especially enjoy observing them in the wilderness, but not in my yard! I say get rid of them all.
