Regarding "Toklat wolf's demise triggers emotional backlash," (April 20):
So what did this Pennsylvania hunter gain from shooting the beautiful black wolf? A pelt, meat, fame? I beg to differ. This hunter has gained nothing. No respect, no fame. In fact, all he has gained is the guilt of shooting such a wonderful creature, and one with such a history. He has spoiled the viewing pleasure of many visitors to Denali, he has destroyed a magnificent creature, he has destroyed a part of Alaska ... and all for nothing.
When will this destruction end?
