Take Back the Bear

Letter to the Editor / Juneau Empire / December 29, 2004

Imagine my surprise when there was a thumping and a banging on the eighth floor of the State Office Building this last week.

Lo and behold, what should appear but a bear in a box. A very large and dead brown bear is now "gracing" the eighth-floor lobby of my workplace. Does anyone else find this to be hugely offensive. Do I need to look at this while I eat my lunch? I wish I didn't have to endure passing by it each day on my way to and from work.

Would whomever "donated" the bear to the SOB kindly take it back? No trophies in the workplace please. I bet you wouldn't want it in yours.
