Pro-Life Thinking Should be Extended
to Alaska's Animals and Plants Too

Letters to the Editor / Anchorage Daily News / December 24, 2004

I announce my support for the pro-life thinking people. They seem to be the majority now of all the people. But I would like to see us move up just one more humane step to include fellow beings such as animals, plants and anything else besides food. Staying away from any life's struggle to survive should be a part of our moral laws.

I'm suspicious of the over-killing of Alaska's animals, particularly shooting wolves from airplanes and the shooting of some of the brown bear on the tank trail and Chugach foothills near Anchorage. Let's take the next humane step.

Joseph Mortiboy / Anchorage
